WHAT HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED:

JMEC has been structural engineer for 1.5-miles of freeway widening on SR242 and interchange improvements at the Concord Avenue as part of the Measure C Program.  The project included 5 bridges, retaining walls and sound walls.

JMEC designed and completed the PS&E (plans, specifications and estimates) for all 8,000-ft of retaining walls and 8,000-ft of sound walls, two bridge structures including a bridge widening at the Solano Way.

Value engineering for wall types was performed in the design phase. A combination of MSE walls and Caltans standard retaining walls was found to be the most cost effective.
